Black Sticks NZ Olympic Ambassador visits Gladstone School

It was fantastic to have Kayla Whitelock visit Gladstone School today and inspire us with her experiences around her journey to becoming a world class hockey player and Olympic Ambassador. Kayla developed a passion for hockey early in her life that took her all the way to captaining the Black Sticks and competing in four Olympic Games.

Kayla let a few of our junior students try on her medals.
Senior students lined up to get their hockey gear signed by Kayla

They had to work in pairs and make decisions about the probability of gaining or losing the most points based on the roll of the dice.
